Care Quest (CQ) is a real-time clinical repository that processes HL7 information and cross-maps them to various medical coding standards. Other systems can be built on the CQ foundation. Some examples are: real-time Infection Surveillance Management (ISM) of all MRDOs, Epidemiology Surveillance Management (ESM) of outbreaks, Patient Handover Management (PHM) in medical wards, and Clinicians Performance Dashboard of care divisions.
Since 1990s, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is being closely monitored by Singapore hospitals as mandated by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Some functions of CQ/ISM include myCare views for ICNs, workflow enhancements, and SMS trigger alerts for the various stakeholders like ICN, EMD, Wards, BMU, epidemiology, microbiology, etc. It provides features for patient isolation, co-horting, attribution, delisting, sharps/mucous exposures, surgical site infection watch and reporting. The system also includes contact tracing of patients and care providers.
Care Quest Infection Surveillance is a Care Quest module with the functionality of real-time alerts and triggers for MRSA surveillance, and uses Care Quest to mine clinical sources for MRSA infected and colonized patients and aid in the reporting process.
- Real-time alerts to the respective stakeholders
- Multi-drug resistance organisms surveillance
- MRSA/VRE/CRE patient pre-admission candidates watch, post-admission infection & condition transitions monitoring
- Provides prompt information for isolation/co-horting of identified patients.
- Automated reporting
- Post surgery follow-up watch
